Canada square

Hi.
Could any body please help me. I received a letter from Canada square operations on the 5 Feb 2013 stating that I was entitled to PPI compensation and that I had to fill in a return form and post it back to them. This I duly did within a couple of days and have not heard anything back. I have written to them twice since then (all correspondence has been sent by recorded post) but again I have not even had so much as an acknowledgement of these letters. I was wondering if anybody has had the same problem ? Thanks

I'm afraid you should read the contents of that letter far more carefully. The Banks are writing to customers who had PPI to invite them to complain if they wish to. No financial institution is writing that anyone is definitely due "compensation". If you have valid mis-selling reasons to complain then your complaint should be upheld. But you are not definitely "entitled" to anything other than the ability to complain.

Regardless, the Bank have eight weeks from the date of your complaint to make a "full and final" response. As they have not responded at all, the next stage of your complaint is to refer it to the Ombudsman.
