Parking Eye Ticket as my car had broken down

Please help.
Yesterday I received a letter from Parking eye as I had over-stayed their 2 hour limit by 14 minutes because my car would not start. I was sat in my car for 1 1/2 hrs with the bonnet up (after spending money in the store).
Should I appeal to their kind side and explain what happened? Is there any point?
I have a store receipt and also a receipt for the car part I purchased 2 days later to fix the car problem I had in the car park.
I think that £100 (£60 if I pay immediately) is steep for 14 minutes considering my circumstances at the time.

Please stop replying on this thread now, let it become archived as it's a duplicate of your other one and I have just replied in full there.
