Lots Of Work Quote

Hi all,

Firstly, thank you for taking the time to read this post and comment where you can. I will start with the story and the quote we have and look forward to hearing any input.

So, we recently purchased a repossession house with a semi subsided conservatory. We then purchased a small piece of land in front and behind the house - to make the drive a double and extend the garden.

The new drive to be the same as the existing is 4mx7m tarmac and chip.

To extend the garden we need to move 6 wooden posts - two new panels and the posts put back in their new positions.

The existing garden needs returfing and is full of very uneven areas. This is 7 x 4.5m.

Lastly the conservatory needs underpinning along one wall (2.9m) and the concrete pad redoing (2.9x3.9)

Our neighbour has suggested a contractor who has let us down time and time again with getting a quote (emailed monday to say it would be with us, I called him today and said I would have it tonight!!!!) still not here. Another builder has provided this, but we have no comparison - he seems very good though but not sure on price... So here it is.

Phase 1

To underpin footing, relay slabs, excavate internal concrete slab - put crushed concrete down Celotex insulation and new slab. Make good external wall and plaster internal dwarf walls. £1862 + VAT

Phase 2

Dig out base for driveway and remove edging in middle, take muck away and put crushed concret base in, road planings and finish both old and existing drive with tar and chip.

£1744 + VAT

Phase 3

Level of back garden area, bring in top soil, take away trash and lay new turf.

£860.00 + VAT

Phase 4

Take down existing fence re position on customers new line and add new fencing to finish run off.

£580 + VAT.
