Buyer Claming Unauthorised Purchases

Evening all,
I sold four of the same thing but the buyer sent a message saying this:
i have been billed for four items to a total of 80 odd pounds on which i have neither bid nor even browsed. i have told ebay and am trying to discover how this has happened. i cannot pay for these items please forgive any inconvenience
I'm happy to cancel the transaction and relist provided I don't lose out on eBay's super-inflated fees. Not sure what to do, please advise. Thanks.

My account got hacked a while ago and someone decided to bid on a random item, called ebay as soon as it happened and the transaction was immediately cancelled for me. There was no need to message the seller.
I'd suspect buyer is telling porkies and open a NPB.0 -

I agree, if their account has been hacked ebay will sort it . It might be worth opening an NPB and explaining to buyer that ebay suggested that as it protects you both as they have obviously reported their security issues to ebay who will now cancel their strike but also protect you against paying fees.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Thanks guys, very helpful advice.
One more question. If I start a new listing. can I get a refund on my previous listing fees (initial + final) once that's resolved back into my PayPal and not have to worry about relisting the same items twice over? I feel impatient having to wait for this to be resolved when I can send out the items, thanks.0
