is there any way i can get a flight down from £545 one way from Edinburgh to Brisbane in March 2014? Just wondering if its worth booking the flight now or worth holding out for a special "deal" that may or may not come along?

Sounds a reasonable deal to me - one way. Shame Air Asia doesn't fly from Europe any more - y'all0

sounds a very good deal, that is about £100 for the fare and the rest will be made up of taxes and surcharges0

Sounds very reasonable considering Edinburgh to Brisbane is a non-hub to a non-hub flight.
You probably couldn't beat that even if you looked at LHR/CGD/AMS to MEL/SYD and then tagged on a low cost flight at each end - but I'll leave it to the interested reader to try.0
