Removing a radiator in a combi system

I need to remove a radiator to decorate and get at some skirting board. I've done it in our old conventional system, but not since we had a combi boiler fitted.

I realise it's different from my old system, with no feeder tank etc., but was wondering if it's something I could do myself, or do I need a plumber this time?

Thanks,
Debbie

Should be no different apart from that you may need to top up the pressure using the filling loop on the boiler. See the section on topping up a combi above.

    Thanks for that link.

Last time we removed two radiators for decorating ISTR we had to drain the whole system as the valves didn't lock off fully, and that was on an unpressurised system! I'll have a look at this one I'm intending to take off.

I won't want to run the heating while it's off anyway, but I'm presuming the hot water will still work ok?
