dont people know where thay live

I won an item for collection yesterday listed as in the town where I live,

I now have there address and find its 15 miles out of town if I known this i woudnt have bid.

this has happened a few times recently

    Depends how big your town is? You live one side and they live the other?

    Or is a different towns totally? ie Listing says Manchester but they live in liverpool?

    Well ebay lets you put whatever address you like. You should probably ask exactly where they are before bidding on collection items...

    I find ebay a pain for local stuff as everything is within <5 miles. You read the listings and some of those with common sense will put their real location / area there and it turns out to be 20 - 25 miles away. Absolutely bonkers.

    Ebay are clearly trying every dirty tactic possible to drive up sales to pay for their owners space program. I hope he lives a nice happy life cos he does annoy a lot of others around the globe.
