Any recommendations for transferring DVD-RAM to DVD-R including authoring with menu and chapters. Anyone used Tmpgemc or any other cheaper alternatives ?

take the DVD-RAM vro file and rename it to .mpeg then you could use freeware like DVD Styler to create menus etc.0

Thanks Woby_Tide, I've got an LG DVD writer which reads DVD-RAM so I'll try it out .
Has anyone tried DVD Styler and TmpGenc DVD Author - is TmpGenc worth the extra 50 quid ?0 -
they are different packages, DVD styler does what it says on the tin, it takes mpegs/avi etc. allows you to add a menus and then make a DVD, TmpGenc is an authoring package to allow you to strip out adverts/chop and change and actually manipulate the mpeg etc before creating the DVD. If you need to amend the files first then yes it's regarded as one of the best out there(there are cruder freeware tools available i.e. check out www.videohelp.com for guides), if you are happy with the files on the dvd-ram as they are then for something cheap and simple then DVDStyler and others of that ilk are fine0

You could try using the latest trial version of Nero 7; http://www.nero.com/enu/Downloads.html0
