Places to eat in London

Hi everyone,

I have been a long-time reader of these boards but never posted before and thought it was about time I started!

I am looking for some advice on where to eat in London as I am heading down there with a group of friends this weekend. We like fairly traditional British food and aren’t looking to spend too much – around £25-£30 per head if possible. Really we just want to find somewhere a little bit different and avoid the usual chain restaurants that you can get anywhere!

Thanks for the suggestions! I have been looking at Top Table but if anyone has any personal recommendations I'd love to hear them!

If not maybe I will eat like a chancellor after all!
