There are too many Poundland shops around now to make that viable :-( The only thing I ever successfully sold from Poundland were some 'Angel' mugs BBC branded that went in dribs and drabs over a period of a few weeks before Christmas about 2 years ago. I see that they have some Dr Who books at the moment but doing a quick search on ebay shows that everyone else has the same idea and it is doubtful that they would sell for enough to even get the pound back after allowing for fees and paypal charges.

I do buy all my padded envelopes and parcel tape from them though, I don't know what I'd do if they ever stopped selling their 10 padded envelopes for a pound!

Thanks for this tip. Ive been buying padded envelopes from the post office and they are quite expensive really (50p each)!

Im the same as you in that I don't want to go into this seriously. I just want to sell a few things as a hobby and to make a little money. I must admit, Im looking out for bargains now that I can perhaps sell nearer Christmas when the demand will be higher.

I think you just gotta look out for bargains when you can and take advantage...... for example.....

I bought two brand new boxes of lego (the smallest box sets, about 15 pieces) from Wilkinsons in teh reduced basket for 3 pence each!!!! I then sold them on ebay for £4 and £7.50 !!!

I also went to Tescos and bought disney DVDs on BOGOF (2 for £16.99 - ie £8.50 each), which I then sold on ebay with a reserve price of £10

I just look out for such bargains and then go for it - I bought about 20 dvds from tescos on this offer....not bad for very little work!
