Will it run all 3 on HDMI? And there is no budget, gaming is the only thing I ever spend money on so I can always afford it :p I'd rather buy top end and and get an extra year or two out of it before I need to upgrade.

My last system was built in 2007 and only retired last November and played pretty much every new game up till then. It's still used during LAN parties at my house :p I'm hoping I can get this one to last just as long.

do you need it all on HDMI ? they only have 1 HDMI port, but they have 2 DVI ports you can use (which is prefered for pc monitors) They also have displayport, but you will need an adaptor to use for those.
Converting between dvi and hdmi is straight forward

for 3 monitors, you can use the 2 dvi and the hdmi.
The older nvidia cards only allowed 2 monitors at a time, luckily the new ones allow for 3

if budget isn't issue, then the 780 might be a better option, slightly more powerful, but comes at a massive price premium, ~£450-500

Looks like we all run pretty hardcore systems.

    Mine:
    Intel 3570k at 4.5ghz
    Asrock extreme 4 Z77 board
    16gb DDR3 1866mhz
    AMD 7950 at 1.14ghz and 6ghz ram
    2x500gb HD in raid 0
64gb Crucial M4 SSD (Cache drive for above raid array)
    2TB storage drive
    Creative x-fi audio

Tropez have you ever maxed the 32gb ram? I ask as my business is video filming editing and I have been running 6 1080p 50fps avchd streams with overlays and never topped out my 16gb.

Wouldn't an AMD card make sense for 3 monitors, eyefinity is great.

It would with previous generations, but now the nvidia cards can also handle it with thier 3d surround.

with the previous generations you needed 2 cards in SLI, but not anymore.

i tend to prefer nvidia cards, especially as i also use them in Linux, and the AMD linux drivers are usually terrible

I'll be honest, the desire to get 32Gb was more born out of the fact that I assembled the PC the week that Overclockers were having one of their wonderful sales where they had a 32Gb (4x8Gb) set of Corsair RAM on sale for only around £20 more than getting 16Gb of the same speed.

I haven't actually topped out the 32Gb and probably won't but I'm a sucker for a good deal and at least it keeps everything nice and speedy. :)

makes sense, been a while for me with linuc and never with current hardware.

Makes sense, I would have done the same in that situation.

I will say its true you can't have too much ram, but you can pay for too much.

with that my htpc has 8gb as it was so cheap at the time.

I am dyslexic as well as having damage in my left eye, I don't see colours properly and it takes me a while of looking at a screen until the colours start to make sense and I can actually start reading it. I've found no amount of playing with calibration settings can get two monitors using different ports to look the same (same brand/model monitors).

If the colours match exactly then I can move between screens with no effort, as long as it's not VGA I don't mind what input it really uses, as long as they all match.

you shouldn't notice any difference between hdmi and dvi. They send the exact same video signal and are interchangeable

I second this, they are the same signal, just hdmi can carry audio too.

You can literally get a DVI-HDMI cable on ebay or amazon for next to nothing.
