We had our offer accepted at the same time as you and you seem to have progressed alot further than we have. Our solicitors are painfully slow even though all the reviews said how quick they were. We are still waiting on two searches (which were only instructed last week even though we requested them at the beginning). So far, mortgage offer and valuation complete. Everything else is pending. This process is painful!0

We spoke with the Estate agent yesterday and discovered that although this are moving quite quickly for us the Vendors are still much further behind us with regard to buying their house. The estate agent said that because both the Vendor and ourselves are using Countrywide, we are progressing quite quickly. While the Vendors' Vendor is using a local solicitor, they are moving at the average speed and still waiting on recieving the searches.
We have also spoken with both the Estate Agents and country Wide again regarding this fixtures and fittings things as we do not want to be breaking the law and we also have no intention of paying 3% stamp! They have told us that the Additional 1.5 for the fittings (free standing furinture and curtains and carpets etc) will be done as a seperate transaction and the Vendors will need to list all prices individually. So thats all above board now and hopefully the Vendors will agree, or we will have to pull out from the Sale.0
