Item cancelled at your request

Options
I purchased an item that was clearly priced incorrectly but instead of receiving an email saying that the order was cancelled due to a pricing error I instead received an email saying that the item has been cancelled at my request, but I didn't request this.

I received a total of 3 emails, the first with a pdf file attached stating my order had been dispatched and that the item is out of stock but I would receive item once they receive stock.

The other two emails are identical, both show dispatch information and mention that my order is complete. But the second email says that the following item has been cancelled at my request.

I emailed stating the above and got a reply offering me a voucher and saying that the items have been removed from sale which it hasn't and it is still available but at the price it is supposed to be.

If they had just sent me an email saying that the order was cancelled due to a pricing error I wouldn't mind, but they sent an email saying the item was cancelled at my request which annoyed me as it's a lie.

Can they cancel the item based on a lie or can I somehow get them to honor the order?

    No you can't.

It appears the have made two mistakes:
    1) wrongly priced the goods,
    2) sent the wrong email cancelling.

Not sure they lied... just not very good at getting things right. :D

They also said in the reply that they had left me a voice mail apologizing which I've checked and they haven't, they also haven't removed the item from sale.
I'm not sure what the difference is but the actual order wasn't cancelled, just the item within the order.

You say yourself it was clearly incorrectly priced. You tried your luck, it didn't work. Move on.
