British Gas Smart Meters

I had my meters changed by British Gas to Smart meters.
I have an energy monitor and can see my meter readings on the meters themselves. So far, no readings have shown up on my online account and I seem to have some odd readings in the history part of the monitor for gas. I just wondered if any one out there had any similar problems?
How long does it take for meter readings to show on the online account?
Has any one noticed that the tariff rate for electricity calculates you cost per unit based on the most expensive tier one rate ( British Gas tell me they are aware of this issue - but it makes the energy monitor useless in my mind! I will still be maintaining my rather complicated spreadsheet to work out how much it is costing!)

my electric smart meter shows the high tier 1 tariff for a certain number of units whilst it is paying the standing charge at the beginning of each quarter, then drops down to the tier 2 tariff 9.7p a kwhr for the rest of the quarter0
