Moving in problems

Hi all,
I was wondering if anybody could help me. I've signed a contract with some other people for a house to move into soon.
The landlord of the current property I am in has given me extra time to move out, so that it is the same day I move into my new house.
The problem now is the estate agents won't allow me move in on the day, because some of the other tenants havn't signed the contract or sorted out the deposit, or sorted out their guarantor forms.
I've set up a standing order to have rent taken out, but the landlord will not allow me to have the keys until the other people sort their stuff out.
So now, I'm telling them to sort it, but do not think it will happen in time, which means that I'll have to pay money to rent a room somewhere until the other people get their stuff sorted.
Most of us signed the joint contract, but some others havn't I just think it unfair that I am not allowed to move in and have to pay to live somewhere else, whilst paying to live in a house I am not allowed to move into.
The estate agents dont want to put me elsewhere, Im just stuck.

It is a single contract. Unless it is signed by everyone named on it, it is not valid.
So you will have toget all your joint tenants to sign (as well as any guarantors involved).
If you are having difficulty communicating and coordinating with your joint tenants now, before you even move in,it does not bode well.
* aruements over shared bills
* non payment of rent (or late payment) by one joint tenant - you do realise as joint tenants, YOU will be equally responsible if one of the others doesnot pay!!
* damage caused by oneof you (cost charged to you all)
I hope you have considered, discussed, agreed all this as a group?0 -
you can discuss about your problem with your new landlord0
