Yes, we already know this but we have decided to proceed anyway. The property is the only one on the market in the area we are looking to buy which has all the things we are looking for, for us the solar panels were a compromise. It has only just come to light that they did not necessarily tick all the necessary boxes as far as the panels were concerned. Backing out of the purchase is not an option for us unless the vendors refuse to rectify their mistake.
Check your mortgage company is happy though as not all like these panels I don't think.

Yes they are happy, they have already looked at the lease and there is a clause that says in the event of a repossession they won't stand in their way blah blah blah something along those lines.
So stressed by it all. We were meant to be getting nearer to exchange, not further from it.First home purchased 09/08/2013

Im sure someone else will be along with a better advice, but we didnt need to get planning permission for our solar, so might not be as bad as you think.0
