So did you stop paying rent?
Did you get your deposit back?
Dob her in to the tax man or mortgage company?

Maybe a bit of damage her way would have been fun, especially if you take photos before hand showing the place looking as you would have left it! I personally would have just started returning all her mail as "addressee no longer at this address" and see what happened then.

    Good you got out though.

She has put the flat back up for rent now, good luck to the new tenants!! (Tempted to report her to letting agency she has put it with)

I stopped paying rent (well paid upfront anyway) so moved out as the last rent ran out just didn't pay any more, didn't get deposit back but were going to look into it as she didn't put in a scheme or anything.

Couldn't be bothered to slander or cause trouble been stressful enough really!

    Thanks for your help though!

There is light at the end of the tunnel.

The letting agent wouldn't give a toss - they do not control the landlord, its the other way around, so they will just look at it as "gripes" from an ex-tenant. They just want the ££££ for letting the place ....

At the least I would report your suspicions on tax using the link in post no 6. We all suffer from people evading tax whether it is Starbucks or a LL.
