Corrupted jpegs

As a continuation of my previous thread - thank you to the person who posted those programs - I believe you've saved me!

I now have the files that I accidently deleted from my phone - I think. I say i think because they say they are corrupted, but they are the correct size for what I lost.

Is there any way to fix corrupted jpeg files so that you can see them again? I don't know how it could've ended up corrupted but I pray there's a way to save it!

Are the photo files correctly designated as .jpg, .jpeg etc?

When you open the properties of the files they come up ending as .jpg, as a psp7.image under type of file, but then says it opens with unknown application - a little strange as I have psp7 on my laptop.

That's the same as me! It's bloody annoying isn't it!

I really need the one photo I accidently deleted, it was the first of me and my OH and it's got serious sentimental value to me.

Like Paul said are the pictures named as picture.jpg etc?

Maybe try right clicking on it and click Open With... Then click Choose Program at the bottom then when the list pops up try Windows Picture and Fax Viewer or Paint etc

Yup, I shall go attempt that - so far they didn't like me attempting to open them in coral paint shop pro.

Send me the file if you want and I will see if I can open it then change it to a jpeg if you have no luck.

Damn, it says preview not availible and this file type is not supported.

Should I take it as a good sign that it isn't saying they're corrupted though?

Well the phone is a sony ericsson k750i and I accidently deleted the photo, when I used the recovery software posted on my previous thread by someone it found early photo's that I think one of them would be the right one (if I'd named them it'd be easier - but I'll remember that for the future.)

May have a search for websites that do recovery for you, though I'd have to part with my phone. If there's a reliable one it'd be worth a shot!
