Is it too late to change/return?

Options
Back in Macrh I bought a new overnight bag from a local independent clothing store.

It was originally £45 but reduced to £35 in a sale.

It looked fine to me so when I got it home I put it away in the cupboard until I went on holiday.

Well, I really wished I had checked it over because last week I was due to go away, I got out the bag for the first time, filled it up and then found that the zip was faulty and will not zip up and there are two decorative zips at the front of the holdall which are also faulty.

Is it worth taking back to the shop as I purchased it three months ago and also do not have the receipt (although the price tags are still attached).

Would love some advice as I am popping into town later today-Thanks

I don't think you have a right of return but I don't know what the law says.
No harm in trying though! Go in and make sure to stay polite and friendly. They're much more likely to help.
    Good luck x

Can they argue misuse? If not I don't see why not. You should have some guarantee and even if not then 6 months would be reasonable.

I have just returned by daughter's bag bought from Tripp in December 2009 (retractable handle stopped retracting) they have a 5 year warranty and were very good about it.

Technically they'd have to proof you damaged it before refusing a remedy. Realistically many will refuse.

Although if it was purchased faulty I wonder if they could argue your lack of action constitutes 'acceptance' of the goods
