I'm trying to get house ready for final inspection on Monday. LL is using an agency to do it as its a repo property, rent from receiver.
Can my LL make deductions from my deposit if they are not spending any of the deduction money on the property because they have sold it?
I'm wondering if they can simply pocket some?
I'm leaving house better than when I moved in but I have decorated and am not painting over it.

The issue is whether there is any damage that needs to be repaired, or remedial work required, as a result of anything you have done (excepting fair wear and tear). Whether the deductions from your deposit are actually spent on these is irrelevant.0

The only thing we did was fit a fireplace which LL knows about. The house was disgusting when we moved in, we repaired, cleaned, plastered and decorated.
LL has no copy of inventory (i do)0
