Waiting time for P45 from JobCentre?

Hi all,
Am really in need of your help with a problem I'm experiencing with the JobCentre, well the Benefit Delivery Centre.

I closed my claim and after a humungous wait for my final payment I am still waiting for my P45. They told me it would take 8 days, and it has already been a day or so after that, and nothing has arrived in the post.
Rang them so many times about payment I just thought this would be done properly for me and am really disappointed.

Would really appreciate and info/advice.
Is there any one I can email to get a pdf copy emailed to me at this point?

No you can't, the BDC have no control over it either, its computer generated. Why the urgency?

If you need it to hand into your new employer there is no rush - you can complete form P46 in the meantime and that will enable them to operate code 944L Month/week 1. All the P45 does is give them exactly the same information and as it is from DWP it just takes a little time to arrive.

Thanks for your replies guys. If I was to call the Benefit Delivery Centre would they be able to tell me what day exactly it physically got sent out in the post? As it is they told me it was sent last Tuesday, but if it was I should have it by now.

For anyone searching this topic in the future, here's what happened. I gave them my new address before P45 was sent out to me and asked them to send it there.
Called them today and they said that as it is computer generated it probably got posted to my old address and the new address might have been missed but that they may have posted it out manually also due to change in address.
I called up people in my old address, and lo and behold, that's where it was.
Very poor system. You have to wait 8 days and then it's sent to old address because of the way computer system is set up
