Ppi and ombudsman help!!

Hi I could really do with some help. I took a loan out with the Bank of Scotland over tens years ago which had a lump sum for ppi added to repayments . I have no paper work at all and I tried last year to get some copies from the bank but the just ignored me so I went to the ombudsman in December of last year . I haven't heard any thing from either the bank or the ombudsman and I was wondering if this is normal practice and if so is it a good sign or a bad sign that I have heard nothing so far.

The FOS will acknowledge your complaint, check with BoS if they have already had a complaint and if not, they would send it on to BoS to deal with it if BoS say they havent.
Considering you seem not to be getting multiple responses from different places, could your mail be an issue?I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Have had an acknowledgment from ombudsman early January . sorry should have said that before but that was the last I heard. Don't think mail is an issue.0
