    I'll dispute that I am sneering here in this thread and I will absolutely defy you to give a link to any thread started by you where I have said anything you could reasonably object to. I have gone away and checked. All I can see is that you failed to grasp my suggestion for a negotiating tactic here https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4615991. Well fair enough, some experienced posters failed on this too!

    I have already said it, but I will try and state it again. Your solicitor may or may not be an obstruction here. Your solicitor may even have delayed the news that the purchase price does not cover the debts secured on the property. But the big show stopper is whether this house can be sold to you. It could be as simple as the vendor not understanding the question and putting 'no' when they mean 'yes'. Get on to the agent and resolve the question. The sooner you establish you have a show stopper, the sooner you can move on and find another property.
    You might as well ask the Wizard of Oz to give you a big number as pay a Credit Referencing Agency for a so-called 'credit-score'

    I don't have time this evening to go hunting for a reference or picking out fragments of your posts that I found offensive. Actually I didn't find anything you said offensive, not even objectionable - in many cases you make good points, just not in a way that makes it easy to swallow. I respect that it's not your job to soften the blow, but I sometimes get the distinct impression from your posts that you feel good about yourself in telling somebody that they're wrong or in dishing out advice with a smattering of sarcasm or scoffing. When I translate your posts in my head I see something akin to Nelson from the Simpsons pointing and mocking me. I don't get that from other replies. You can easily say the same things that you're trying to say without coming across like a douche.

    Anyway with that said - thank you, your last paragraph was very decent and helpful, which tells me that you probably already know that the above (or an element of the above) is true...

    I did also wonder if the vendors had ticked the wrong box. When I spoke to the owner as she was showing us around she was talking about her horses and the houses they owned so I assumed they must be fairly wealthy, but I also know that doesn't mean they aren't up to their eyeballs in debt!

    Well, it sounds like the problem is in your head. It seems that you are simultaneously finding some of my posts objectionable - because you are objecting - and denying that they are even objectionable.

    OK some of your posts are objectionable, or at least questionable or irrelevant- in that sometimes I have to ask the question what was really meant by your post. Above you felt the need to bash me on the head about the £1200 fees that I've already spent in reference to wanting to save dead money on rent. It wasn't necessary and actually I still don't understand why you did as it didn't really prove any point. You seem to do this kind of thing a lot. Instead of coming across as helpful, you come across as a douche, and I'm sorry if that offends you but it's true. Anyway, I was talking in general terms - in general your posts are not objectionable.

    I will admit that I've probably got a picture in my head from my first few encounters with you and I now read most of the things you say in a certain tone in my head, but hey - first impressions count!
    Anyway if you want to believe that the problems are all mine and not yours that's fine. You're doing everything right, forget I ever said anything, but from now on I don't want your advice on my posts, thank-you please :D

    Kilby...be careful, i bet your bottom dollar that one day in the future you’re going to wish you had heeded Vals advice, between him and the other shall we say, blunt member G_M there is an absolute wealth of knowledge, offered free....

    I am going through buying and selling myself right now, with deadlines to get kids in school etc, as advised try to chill out
