We moved a month ago, the problems have been endless...
United utilities - messes bill up and was that nasty that the manager who listened to the call sent me flowers.
Virgin media - told us that you have a month bill free and the following month you are billed as normal. Clarified this with 3 different people as it sounded strange, I have now been billed for two months together and they are taking it out now and don't care what we were told and won't listen to calls.
Eon - promised monthly billing and a plan the same as my old british gas energy smart, ended up quarterly billing and has to be a set amount and not from the meter readings.
British gas boiler care - promised you can book online 4-6pm appointments, these do not exist and the online booking hasn't been applied to my account, four calls and fobbed off each time saying it would go online within 24hours. Also booked my first gas safety inspection for Saturday and a manager has phoned me to say they have cancelled it as they don't do Saturday visits and this should have never been booked!!
And to top it off I'm trying to buy train tickets with part card part tesco vouchers on redspottedhanky and their website won't work and they have no explanation and don't care that the train is now £50 more in the time I've been dealing with them!
I am seriously losing it, why isn't anything ever easy!!! I think I'm gonna become an alcoholic at this rate!

Hi moreofthegoodstuff
It's possible to have monthly bills if you register with our website. There's a facility on there called Real Time Billing. All you need do is go to this option and pop in the meter readings.
You'll be given the choice of viewing the balance these readings would produce or creating a bill. You can do this whenever you want.
The only time this is a little different is when the account is in what we call the Billing Window. For quarterly billing, this window is open for 14 days either side of the next bill date.
Entering readings whilst the window is open automatically creates a bill if that period hasn't been charged yet.
By set amount, I assume you mean a Monthly Direct Debit. There are other payment options available although they don't carry as much discount as a Monthly Direct Debit.
Hope this is of interest. Give me a shout if you need any more details as will be happy to help.
