Santander Account fees

My aunt has an old ex A&L Current Account with Santander. Today she received a statement from them as usual with an Annual Statement of Fees on a separate sheet.

It states "Your account is a Premier Current Account."

On the back of the sheet was a list of fees which list the Account Fees.

Santander 123 £2 pcm fine, but it also said Premier Current Account £20 pcm. This is puzzling since no such fee is charged and if it were to be she would close it.

We rang Santander in case this was a new fee and was assured this was an error on a purely personal statement and that there was no fee on a Premier Current Account.

However, the same figure is quoted on the Santander website as part of the standard Current Account T&Cs for old accounts.

Does anyone know what is going on?

The £20 will be for the PREMIUM account not the premier. I used to have one of these before I changed it to a 123 account

You paid £20 a month for travel insurance, car breakdown, mobile phone insurance and some other things I think

Shame Santander could not have said this!

Bobo thanks for pointing this out. My mistake not Santander's.
