Help - strange screeching sound
Options
Hi, my partner drives a Toyota Avensis 1.8 estate 1999 V reg. Recently it has developed a high pitched screeching when turning the wheel at low speeds. Mostly during parking and other low speed manoeuvres.
The sound is similar to a slipping fanbelt. The vehicle has power steering but there is no change in the feel/feedback of this. Before I book it in to the garage I would like to know what I am dealing with (to avoid being ripped off!!!)
Any help appreciated.
Dave

Will look into. I was hoping it was nothing major. The steering feels fine just an annoying screech from time to time.0
