where can i get a new washing machine resonable price

Sorry to go off the topic but Ive got a quick question....my parents bought a washing machine about a year ago and it doesn't clean my clothes properly! Our old washing machine used to do a good job before it died. My clothes always has I think detergent residue following a wash. We have tried many brands of liquids and powders and I am convinced that out washing machine is at fault. Has anyone come across this before?
