On the subject of John Lewis can I mention that they have a range of their own name machines (obviously made for them--I wonder who by?) and with them you get an extra 2 years warranty, making 3 years in total.
    Waddle you do eh?

get a bosch from comet, I got one last month for £254 ordered it on the web
    site and collected from shop.
I am very impressed with bosch was worried about it only being a cold fill and
the time it would take, I can say I have'nt noticed any difference apart from
we have hot water now for a bath.

I also have this one. We wen't into comet and they offered us this at their web price and then we went into currys who beat the price so we got it pretty cheap. It is a quickish cycle as well as some were about 2 hours. I also agree with the cold fill comment although my father in law says I should be using Calgon as it with get more limescale build up being cold fill?

Our friendly repair man recommended Bosch as most reliable + long lasting.
Bought from Pixmania. They install and remove old machine for £8 using
Currys which was worthwhile for me as the were the cheapest for the machine we wanted. Ordered and in use within 48 hours.
    Best Regards

    Bought this one here
And its fantastic. Has timer, 30 degree wash, pre-set settings and you can program your own wash. And its very quiet also.

I would recommend doing some research at

    https://www.washerhelp.co.uk

A great site which will give you the ins and outs of todays washing machines, reliability, what to watch out for etc.

I would also recommend https://www.kitchen-science.co.uk for good prices, if you find it cheaper elsewhere they will try to match the price, just call and ask.

Oh and John Lewis own brand washing machines are made by Electrolux (the parent company of AEG, Tricty Bendix and Zanussi) Infact I would go as far as saying that any machine from the Electrolux group are probably the best in their class.

No one, however, can hold a torch at Miele....its true, you get what you pay for, a Miele is built like a tank!
