Would I need business cover on my car insurance?

Looking for ways to to better market our company locally and one thing I've though of is having decals put on my nice new car with our company logo and website address on, however, would I:
a) Need to inform my insurance company?
b) Need business cover on my insurance?
I wouldn't be using the car for 'business' as such but I guess I could see how they could claim Marketing as 'business'.

I'm pretty sure you would need to advise them of decals.
I think you would struggle to convince them that you are not using it for business. Arguably, its being used for business 24 hours a day.0 -
thanks. would appreciate as many thoughts as possible.0

Some insurers would require the decals themselves to be declared - regardless of whether they had anything to do with your business.0

I work in local government and our guidelines state that if you use your own vehicle and claim back mileage and/or expenses in relation to your journey then, yes, you DO need to have business use insurance cover. Hope this helps. x0

Thanks everyone. The car isn't used for business in the sense that I travel to and from the office, use it for personal purposes, etc, and is owned by me personally. I don't visit clients as they come to us, etc.
I think my best bet is to give my insurance co a ring and discuss with them

You would need to declare it because it is a post manufacturing modification to the vehicle. Insurers may or may not be interested in adding a loading for it.
You may also find the vehicle use is called into question in the event of a claim due to it looking like a commercial vehicle but you only having SDPC cover0
