Macadam Finance

Hi there
I had a few loans through Macadam Finance many years ago and I am trying to find out if I had PPI on any of them. I have been in touch with Welcome Finance as I had read somewhere that they had bought them over but they have emailed me back to say that 'Macadam Finance is not a part of Welcome Financial Services Ltd'.
I do not know who to try now and I wondered if anyone knew who I should try or if anyone has had any luck with tracing old Macadam loans.
Many thanks in advance

It may be worth speaking to the FSCS - http://www.fscs.org.uk/
These are the last resort for the failure of authorised firms. Although Welcome Finance are nothing to do with Macadam, Welcome also failed and claims are being administered through FSCS.
FSCS may also be able to advise you of other routes to take if they cannot help.Competition wins:
2010 - approx £450. 2011 - approx £800. 2012 - approx £300. 2013 - nothing so far!0 -
The FSCS will only be able to help you if the loans were sold after January 2005.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0

The loans were all taken out in the late 90's so would probably be too old. Might give the FSCS a call just to ask though, nothing to lose by trying.
Thanks for your replies

It's not that they're too old, it's that they weren't regulated when they sold them to you therefore not covered by the FSCSNon me fac calcitrare tuum culi0
