Got fine, one letter wrong in my name?

I got a nasty letter from bailiffs today, asking for £125 within 7 days.
I managed to get parking ticket last year in october.
But, what i want to know is, the DVLA registered my name wrong by one letter (in my last name starts with V but they put in Y), since then the car has been sold ( had it for 2 months only ), do i need to pay this fine or not? As they dont have my full name correct?
And the letter is addressed to Y person not V...

Bailiffs? Are you sure it's not just debt collectors? Who issued this ticket? Was it police, local authority or private company?
If it's police/local authority and it really is bailiffs you need to act fast, so please check carefully. However, if it's private then you've already missed the POPLA deadlines so you can relax a bit - but still post back who issued it.
Either way, I don't think a one-letter typo in your name will help you much.Je suis Charlie.0 -

Bristow Sutor Civil Enforcement Agents are demaning payment on behalf Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council.
Large letter saying: PROPOSED SEIZURE OF YOUR GOODS.
To prevent our bailiffs attending your address to seizure goods you must pay the sum of £125.44 within 7 days.0 -
Good grief, you must've ignored a lot of stuff for it to get this far. I suggest you go here for advice:

But act quickly or you really will have burly blokes hammering on your door trying to get at your stuff (and they'll lift your car off the street if they can find it).Je suis Charlie.0
