Anyone know if these companies are linked?
If so, we dodged a bullet as I didn't find any red flags when
checking on the web. We arranged a visit when blocking spam
mailshots following the death of my mother.
To all those who've had nightmares with 'probate' companies
my heartfelt sympathies. Thank you for taking the time to
write about them to warn others.0 -
I'm sorry for your loss.

I too had a near miss with Simplify / ITG whatever they call themselves... my mum passed away suddenly in April 17 and as soon as I mentioned this to Barclays - Simplify was all over it.
Basically I didn't like there selling techniques - like most but I found valuedestates dot com
These guys are amazing - you always see the CEO when he quotes you - I had done a few bits todo with mums estate and they adjusted the costs accordingly .
They update you regularly and I would trust them 100%
Hope it helps

Hi,
following my near miss with these companies I would reiterate my advice to anyone who has lost a relative and needs to go to Probate - please dont use any online companies - just go to a local solicitor who is a member of the Solicitors Regulation Authority
http://www.sra.org.uk/consumers/what-sra-about.page
We paid a reasonable fee with every item of expenditure explained to a local solicitor (half of what we had been quoted by one of these businesses) and were dealt with efficiently and well.
Dont risk any more stress than you have already. Unfortunately there are many sharks out there waiting to take a good chunk of your inheritance away from you at a time when you might not be thinking straight.
Best Wishes, Polly.0
