This is what I was worried about. I don't want people who can't afford to gamble, gambling just because they are reading about people winning.
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE do not join bingo sites or gamble unless you can stop yourself putting in more than £10 or what you can afford to lose.
Don't worry i didn't go on, :rotfl: I've learnt from past experience to keep off them, believe me!fairyclicks wrote: »
Am feeling very responsible for the jpj focus and feeling very bad for any part i played in this - i only meant to highlight the free bingo games without which i wouldn't have my winnings - I am pleased others won as well, but everyday there are people complaining about how much they lost on the site - yesterday someone lost £700another day someone lost his full redundancy money of £10,000!!!!! Please do not take details of winnings out of context! xxxxx
Fairy, don't be silly! You were excited about your big win, and we are all so happy for you! You play responsibly and always highlight that you do so. We are all our own boss and if someone decides to gamble and looses its not your fault. I do hope i haven't made you feel bad by saying *must resist*Oh, and well done on your carboot! If i could drive i would be doing them! Well done to your man too!! Very kind of him to offer.... Lots of brownie points to him
Right, back to the topic of money making!! Last night, just £19 on eBay. All paid and packed up ready to post today. Lots of ebaying done for next weekend all sorted so lets hope next weekend i make lots of pennies so i can take the kids out for days out during the holidays!
I don't think i have anything else to add. I still have my tin with 20p's in which i still need to bank but i'm not desperate just yet so will hang onto them for a little longer.
In other news.... My parents are giving me £500 :eek::eek: Last year i did 2 ppi claims for them. One paid out around £7500 last year and she gave me some cash then. One claim said no, so being MSE savvy i decided to take it further. The ombudsman said they were mis-sold and the Lloyds had to put them back in the position they would have been in if PPI hadn't be sold on their credit card.... fast forward another 2 month wait and they recieved an offer of £9300!!!:eek::eek: So happy for them. My mother is in poor health, so this means she can pay her car of (£6000) and quit one of her 4 jobs. Along with a holiday for her and my dad, and she giving me and my brother £500 each. I don't want to take it, but she is insisting because i sorted it out for her.Anyway, i won't count it to my total when i get it, but i just wanted to share my bit of good news.
It means that my bathroom can be made safe. The tiles are lifting from the walls, and the floor tiles need removing (some are smashed) and the floor re-doing so this will more than pay for that. I could be stupid, and spend it on the kids in the summer holidays, BUT i have a diary with lots of free activities in my area that i have found so i'm hoping this will keep them occupied. From petting farm days, to teddy bear picnics and family fun days, all free of charge
My aunt and uncle have also upgraded from a tent to a caravan and they want us to have all the camping stuff. Its a very expensive text, with a carpet and all the gear such as electric cook box and cooker, so whilst i have refused to keep it, i have said if i can LOAN it from them from time to time then it would be MUCH appreciated! They still insist its mine but i still insist i am loaning it. :rotfl: Anyway, just need to find some cheap sites and maybe we might have a few days away in the tent. My kids will LOVE that!
Anyway... sorry for such a long post. Totally gone off topic. Will add the £19 to my signature. :cool:Slimming World Challenge 2017 0/30.5lb

Hey Counting Pennies, huge well done on getting the PPI payments for your parents, that's brilliant. :T
I have just £7.50 to add - £5 from Halifax and some Nectar points off my Sbury shopping.
However, I have just gone looking for an email detailing the deposit we paid on DD's nursery and should get back when she starts school in September... and it's £500, woo hoo, looking forward to that!!0 -
Aw CP it wasn't you hun - it just makes me break out in a cold sweat the thought of anyone gambling and loosing money cos of something i have said - it took me ages to post about jpj on my blog for exactly that reason. I have been feeling uncomfortable about writing about it at all and now having a rethink again so i think thats a good thing
re the camping thing - try googling touring in the trees - this is provided by the forestry service (might only be NI but i'd guess there might be a similar thing in your area) you buy a permit for the year at a decent amount and then camping is free all year
great news about the PPI claimswell done on that!!
and good news about getting the bathroom sorted too!!
today i am going to list more joblots on the bay - i was dreaming about it last night hahahaha! I want it all gone - am so tired of looking at the stuff i have.
good luck to you all for todays activitiesxxx

Fairy I think for that reason I'm going to add gambling help links to my blog posts about anything to do with bingo/gambling now. My JPJ is down to £4 so I'm only sticking to free games for the rest of the week. I'm still okay with doing it as I view it as £10 for entertainment.
Everyone seems to be doing really well! My exciting news is that my tribunal money landed in my account today!!! I'm thrilled. I'm not counting it towards this challenge though. I'm taking £100 to spend on fun things and the rest is going away until something appropriate crops up.
Nothing new to add just yet - I've got two eBay parcels to do tonight so I'll have an update once I've paid for postage and fees. I went to a boot sale yesterday and got a ton of stuff. I've blogged photos if anyone is interested. The best find was old vintage cameras for 50p each. I just had a feeling about them but I had no phone signal to check eBay. So I took a gamble and asked how much for the whole lot - £6! I've already got Twitter friends asking for makes, models and prices. Look at how many there are:I like to make money

I'm not sure yet! I need to get a list of what there is and go from there. I'm torn between a job lot on eBay or listing them individually with a note about combined postage.I like to make money
