APCOA Notice to Keeper letter

Apologies in advance...I know you guys will have heard it all before but here goes, asking for specific advice:
I parked at a First Capital Connect station on a weekday morning after 10. I don't do this often but when I do I prefer to use the Connect Cashless app on my phone to pay as it's quicker. Anyway, I forgot about it and paid just as I got off the train when I returned a few hours later at 3.30pm.
On returning to my car I had a ticket issued at 2.40pm. I spoke to the attendant who was still there - no joy there obviously. I ignored the ticket because I assumed they would see I had paid.
Now I (or rather my partner - his car, oops) have a NTK letter telling me I owe £105.
I don't want to ignore it because I blooming paid!! I have made a stand numerous times with these 'fake' PCNs by ignoring the letters and all manner of threatening claims.
Do I write and tell them I paid, or threaten them with POPLA?
Not sure what the advice is in my particular case?
Thanks in advance

Should add that I am not the registered keeper, just driving at the time. Should I buy some time by getting him to write and tell them he was not driving at the time?0

Have you admitted to the PPC that you were the driver?
You can buy some time by waiting for the Notice to Keeper (NtK) to be delivered to the RK and see if that complies with PoFA and the BPA Code of Practice. Probably the way to go for the moment.
Is the RK likely to want to take this on themselves (pursuing the RK via PoFA legislation is a more hazardous journey for the PPC)?
The RK can, once the NtK arrives, supply the PPC with the driver's name and serviceable address, although they're under no obligation to do so.
Have you informed the RK about the ticket? You'd also better tell them of what's to come (you don't want them having a coronary!).
Timescale - there are 28 days for the driver to respond to the ticket, but if no response the PPC can acquire RK details from DVLA and then send NtK within a further 28 days.
After all this time the RK can pass on the driver details to the PPC and they then have to start the procedure from scratch with the driver. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Is this £105 the full price and has a discount been offered?
I say that as the BPA Code of Practice says that anything over £100 could require justification and that 40% discount should be offered.
Both points for your POPLA appeal.0
