The world would be a better place? It's seems the vast majority of the in the world can manage to go shopping and then use the goods after without out some event happening that causes some sort of global disaster!
Are you just one of the general anti Supermarket types?0 -
When I had bought some juice that was out if date, I tried it on with the supermarket. The customer service desk basically told me "you should have checked the date whe you bought it" (fair enough, I do it with meat etc so juice shouldn't be any different) but I got annoyed by her attitude so sent an email to head office to complain. Extract from reply below.
"whilst [we] attempt to ensure all products on our shelves are within their best before date we occasionally do find some items that have gone past this, as was the case here. On behalf of [store name] I can only apologise, and would like to tell you how we plan on preventing this from happening in future.
The store has been notified, and there will be training across all staff to ensure stock is rotated in to correct manner. [We]will also be providing training to staff on customer service, as we feel the response from our customer service team instore was not representative of the company values we wish to share with our customers.
As a goodwill gesture I have included a voucher with a value of £5 off your next grocery shop, and hope that you will continue to shop with us in the future"
Whilst it must have been upsetting that your child was ill, I suspect you may only get a polite email from the store unless you take the matter further.0 -
