Hi, having made an offer yesterday, how long is typical to wait to get feedback from the EA?
This is on the basis that its in London.

I heard back within an hour! Depends on what the vendor is doing/can't they be contacted?
Ring the EA and ask!0 -
It an be hours days or even weeks!
Don't chase it you will appear too eager this is a waiting game I am afraid0 -
I'd ring and say you've seen another property you are interested in....and you'd like feedback on your offer before pursuing the other one!0

I put an off in at the asking price on a place 2 months ago. Many phone calls came and went. On day 10 I again called the EA and told him to give the vendors an ultimatum, to give me a yes or no either way or my offer will be withdrawn. He called an hour later and said they were still considering my offer. Yes, after 10 days the vendors were still considering weather to accept my full asking price offer. So I withdrew my offer.
4 days later the EA called to ask if I was still interested in the property as the vendor would like to sell to me.
Haha, no chance. I absolutely loved the property, but if they were prepared to muck me about over something so simple as an offer, IMO they'd also be the type likely to pull out at the 11th hour or make the process more difficult than it already is. I don't play other people's mind games.
A week later, we found another place which the family liked even better than the first, costing 10k less, in a nicer location.....and they accepted our offer in under 2 hours.0 -
