    this is something your mail server uses to deter spammers...it is very easy to spoof an email and make it look like its from someone else...so for example..a spammer could easily change the from field in an email and make it look like its from a valid user with your ISP..only he isn't...if you are using outlook make sure you have ticked the "my outgoing server requires authentication button"...this should hopefully resolve it...

    Assuming you are using Outlook Express and have moved your account - gone broadband?

    Go to Tools / Accounts. Choose the affected account and then the "Servers" tab.

    The SMTP account is the ISP you logon to, thus for Virgin Media broadband;
    smtp.ntlworld.com

    The POP3 box is where you would like the REPLY to go to, thus Freeserve;
    pop.freeserve.com

    In the General tab choose the email address that you want the recipient to see;
    BigFoot@clodhopper.freeserve.co.uk (or some such)

    If you ARE on BB then the "always connect" must be unchecked (Connections tab).

    Please click "Thanks" if you find that useful.
