Abbey Sweep Account - Looks Good

Abbey have a SWEEP account paying over 5% gross. You can move money from current account and back on-line. Sounds great to me but has anybody used it or can offer advice please?

I think you're confusing a few different accounts here. There isn't a specific "sweep" account, but rather you can set up a sweep from an Abbey current account into any Abbey savings account. The e-saver does pay 5.1%, but as an intro rate for 6 months after which it drops to 4.6%. It's possibly a useful tool for people who have money left over in their current account at the end of the month but often forget to do anything about it, but if you're more clued up it would me more sensible to transfer it manually into a savings account with another provider.

The 5% savings account is the standard abbey monthly saver.

The sweep is good and you get 3 options of what to do like sweep x amount if I get paid over £xxxxx, if I don't get paid over that amount it won't sweep at all.

Or sweep all but £x on 31st of month.
