Frustrated with solicitor!!!- rant

Options
Sorry, I have had enough of my solicitor and just frustrated with the service I am getting.

They have been making spelling mistakes on forms, wrong birth dates even after our correcting them on the initial document pack, not answering phone calls, always saying they are busy with completions or clients(who the hell are we then?) when you call them, letters always reaching us after late, laughing on the phone about our issues when we come across them and discuss it with them.Seriously, I do not know what is the worst left to expect now!!!

My sympathies, I'm also having problems with my own solicitor - not returning calls, emails, voicemails, and the best two yet - sending me the contracts for my sale and purchase, to find there are typos on them. I call and email her to discuss this, only to discover she's on holiday and back next week (we're due to exchange this week).

I do realise people go on hols but perhaps I'm supposing it's too hard for a solicitor to give you a "heads up" that they won't be around for a few days? (I work in a law firm myself, so my fee earners have to inform their clients of any intended time off during their transaction).

Why not write a letter to the Practice Manager and asking for a reduction in their fees - that's what I'll be doing. I'll be so glad when this is over...

Keep a list of all the errors.
Keep a diary of all unreturned calls

Write to the Practice Manager with proof of all your complaints and ask for a reduction in fees. If this is not forthcoming take it further.

I recently posted something similar. Why can't they just do a professional job and at least proofread things... sigh.

It could realistically begin with "C," "P," "Q," or a number of other initials going off recent threads on here... ;)
