PPI on old Goldfish Loan - Lloyds denying knowledge of account

Morning all

Several years ago (10yrs roughly) I took out a £10k loan with Goldfish. They then disembursed and from what I am aware the loan portion fo the company was sold onto Lloyds TSB.

I was on a DMP at the time and on my old CCCS statements it shows that payments were made to Lloyds TSB.

Unfortunately this is the only paperwork I have in relation to the loan - Now I am 99% sure PPI was added. I have called Lloyds and given them my details (address, maiden name etc - Everything that my loan was under) except for the account number as I do not have any paperwork showing this.

They are telling me that there is absolutely nothing in their systems under my name, adress etc. So what do I do now?

They obviously took over the loan as I have the CCCS statements showing payments. I would like to reclaim the PPI (I have been successful with every other company) but am usnure of what step to take next?

Any advice would be appreciated!

If you loan was taken out with the old Goldfish Bank, then the PPI would have been sold by Goldfish Bank, and you would have to make your complaint to Goldfish Bank. Since Goldfish Bank no longer exists, (the company was dissolved in 2011) this might be difficult.

You can send a SAR to LLoyds and see if there's anything left. If there is nothing left with them i.e. account number, then your complaint is over. If you can find an account number, you can complain to them.
Because you defaulted on the loan, any redress will go firstly to amounts written off.
