I think you should make it an ever going loop with lets say 20 minutes worth of content looping. That should enough for a few hours. I wouldn't put any music to it at all though.

I have cut it down now, shorten the clips to 2 seconds each and taken alot of the younger ones out before they met, it is five minutes now... im going to leave it at that as it is mainly close family who are coming and at the end of the day the wedding has cost them alot of money, i know they will love it, it is their day and if any one gets bored im not really fussed as long as they like it lol

Why don't you give it to them as a present and drop the whole showing it to guests idea? You can then make it more personal with an introduction from you, and end with a wedding photo maybe?
