Faulty Logitech item, warranty exercised, received cheaper replacement!

Options
Hello, have a set of Logitech headphones that I've had to exercise the warranty on as they have a known common fault and need to be replaced.

The original set were about £60 from an Amazon seller. The replacement set are a model number higher, yet Logitech themselves say in a thread online that this set are different and have different features, so they are not the same. This replacement set is also at least £20 cheaper everywhere! How can this be fair?!

If they are an upgraded, better model, then whats the problem ?

Different worse or just different ?
If it is cheaper and the headphones do the same thing as the original ones, what's the problem ?

    And technology changes even quicker.
As the original headphones only cost £60, I can't see that they will be repairable and if that particular model is no longer in production then Logitech will have no option but to supply a similar pair.
Forget about the price difference and just concentrate on how the specifications of the two sets of headphones compare.

Also bear in mind you have no contract with Logitech and if the Amazon seller wasn't an authorised seller it could get very interesting.

    1. They are not a better model, I didn't say they were a better model, they are in fact considered a bit worse than the previous model.

    2. "Technology becomes cheaper over time" - I appreciate you stating the bleeding obvious there, thanks.

    3. Both sets of headphones are still available in many online outlets. The original set is still always more expensive than this later replacement, usually by £20 - £25, and has better reviews.

You'll find you get better responses by :

A: Giving all the info in the first post instead of drip-feeding it
b: Not having a go at people who are trying to help
