ParkingEye - Rachel earns £1.5million per year (alleges The Prankster)

ParkingEye is pleased to announce that we have appointed nationwide law firm LPC Law to represent us at County Court hearings.
Seems clear enough to me.Je suis Charlie.0 -
So an LPC Law legal eagle (i.e. some bored trainee!) travels many miles to the court nominated by the defendant, sits through a hearing, and travels back again. So in most cases that's gonna be half-a-day, sometimes a full day. For £50!
I'm very glad I don't have shares in LPC Law!
The £50 is for preparing the claim so LPC Law have nothing to do with this.
LPC Law charge between £200 and £300 for parking cases, with an option to charge more if the case lasts more than 3 hours. Possibly PE have done a deal to get a price at the lower end of this scale.
In any case, this is not refundable in the small claims court. Thus, even if PE win a case and get their parking fee of £100, they still shell out £200-£300., making a loss of £100-200.
Every time they win, they lose. Every time they lose...they lose too.
It's a lose-lose scenario.

Yes - and that includes preparatory work. Solicitors have to prepare cases and submissions as well as show their faces in court.0 -

:rotfl::T:rotfl:Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

I read somewhere that each case through POPLA costs a ppc £187.oo so I would guess that a county court case carries more weight than a popla one where scaring the victim (into paying) is taken into account.Parking-Prankster wrote: »The £50 is for preparing the claim so LPC Law have nothing to do with this.

What preparation? We know for a fact that these cases are all a cut-and-paste job by Rachel. She does the prep (such as it is), LPC goes to court (on the rare occasion it actually gets there), it's blindingly obvious. Can't see why you are being so awkward about it.Je suis Charlie.0 -
You missed though from the default judgement they got, not saying they will actually be paid, the same as the rest of the probable default judgements on the site.ParkingEye, in their first County Court Hearing since the arrival of Keeper Liability and the Protection of Freedoms Act, gained a resounding win. In a case that was heard at Truro Combined County Court Centre on the 31st of May, District Judge Thomas ordered the defendant to pay ParkingEye the £100 Parking Charge as well as costs that amounted to a further £255 (£355 in total)
The court accepted that the defendant had failed to notify the Claimant of the details of the driver of the vehicle at the time of the infringement and accordingly became liable to the Claimant for the parking charge.
ParkingEye would like to thank LPC – who attended the court on behalf of ParkingEye – for their successful work on this matter. When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
