Property Developing Ltd Comp - Business or Domestic Supply ?

Hi,

When a Property Developing Ltd Comp purchases a domestic property with the intention of upgrading and selling on, should they register for a domestic supply or business supply ?

My understanding is business supply is for business premises.

Anyone know ?

I suggest you contact the supplier.

When I bought a new build, the developer had it registered on a residential tariff.

... but they were charged VAT at the full 20% as it was not being used for domestic, residential purposes when they had it registered.
(Not that they would care, as they would reclaim any such VAT as input VAT)

thanks .. i rang e.on and they confirmed the company can register butbe on the domestic tariff.
