Fascia and Soffit replacement

Hi,
We live in a modern 4 bed detached house (2002) and it was built with timber F&S's which due to lack of maintenance now need either full redecoration and replacement of rotted sections or replacement with uPVC.
The problem is that due to the design of the house (integral garage with dormer window over) there is fascia line to both gables as well as to the front and rear so access over the garage is fairly awkward as well as there being a fair amount of F&S m2 wise.
Obtained 3 quotes, two were local (Lincs/Notts) window/roofing companies who quoted £4900 and £5900 and a local general builder (FMB member) who quoted £3600.
Would anyone recommend obtaining a painting quote (I would rather go maintenance free) or is there likely to be any downside to going with the builder e.g. no 30 yr guarantee?
Also, any personal recommendations for companies/builders in the area would be great

Try to get a replacement fascia specialist rather than a builder and have all the wood removed.
We had Mw Roofline do our fascias google them. I've mentioned this company in my other post I'm not spamming it just happens to be the last two threads i've replied to lol
