I live next to a Woolaway bungalow - have been in it in the winter and it's bloody freezing. Tenants couldn't wait to leave. They'd've been better off in a tent tbh.

I went to school with one of the Woolaways. He was very sun-tanned, because they went away for exotic holidays when us folks here were freezing. :rotfl:

    I've been Money Tipped!
I should have added that I seem to be one of the rare people who actually read the EPC (for floor area, insulation and heating type). So I viewed and offered on this property believing it had filled cavity walls - 4 out of 5 stars for energy efficiency

Wonder where the cavity and the other half of the wall has gone since the EPC was done on 6 June?
It is a good idea to be alone in a garden at dawn or dark so that all its shy presences may haunt you and possess you in a reverie of suspended thought.

The EPC on the property we bought was just as rubbish. Apparently there was double glazing throughout (erm I could've sworn it was single glazed and rotten to boot).

Not worth the paper they're written on!

    too many comps..not enough time!

Now that is awful, ie to have found that this EPC was so unreliable. You have my full sympathies on that.

The one thing I noticed when I googled images of Woolaway bungalows was a huge tendency to have windows (on sideways walls at any rate) that go bang up against the edge of the roof. I don't think that's a Woolaway bungalow thing - its probably more a 1960s style thing that many properties built then have. It would appear that Woolaway bungalows are a product of the 1960s - so it may be a case of having to look out for those style features perhaps?

I rather fell in love with one of them myself, but fortunately found out it was a Woolaway bungalow before it went any further than first viewing thankfully. Darn, as it looked lovely and the view was to die for.
