...and the QR code is 'not for customer use, don't worry about it'.
When I then asked if it was a problem that the code is present on a V5C, and not V5C(W), they said it was irrelevant.0 -
Do not worry about BFG cars. All RHD BFG cars (and most LHD also) are now ordered and sold by UK dealers (Audi Watford, BMW Park Lane etc) and are ALL supplied to UK specification. As they have been temporarily registered onto the German BFG network their DVLA paperwork is slightly unusual and they are normally registered back onto the same plates that were issued in the UK as temporary (for export). Once the DVLA gets them back and the paperwork catches up there is absolutely no difference between an ex-BFG car for tax, insurance or any other purposes. Most BFG cars tend to be of a higher specification as the UK dealers are keen to buy most of them back into their own used stock.
In short, do not worry, you probably got a very good deal. If you are still concerned, a short phone call to Audi Watford will put your mind at rest.0 -
As above don't worry about BFG cars, they've been looked after no doubt as the car sales people won't take a car back if they've not serviced it when it should be.
My advice is to join a Facebook BFG cars page to buy the car straight from the soldier as you'll get a deal and they'll get a deal. If you own an SMAX Titanium 2.0 tdci there's a high probability that it'll be an ex BFG car.
Driven by a Brit just in Germany, plus the tread on the tyres is likely to be better as they put winter tyres on the car 4-5 months of the year.0
