Help please adding extras on variation listing

Hi guys, I have sold on ebay for a while and am usually the one giving advice to others but think I need some help on this one please

I have a buy it now listing with several colour choices available, I want to find a way to way to add an optional extra to the listing eg add personalisation for an extra 50p

I've tried to do this by adding it as an additional variation but this makes it harder to maintain the listing in terms of how many are in stock - since the personalisation could be added to anything. I also don't want to complicate the listing too much as there is already 2 variations.

I've also tried to add it as a colour selection so the buyer could purchase personalisation as another item but this doesn't appear to work either as it's asking me to input a price higher than 0.99 and the 'extra' is only 50p

There used to be an option to allow the buyer to input the postage, but I can't seem to find it? I thought I could offer it as an additional postage option but then I don't want to affect my p&p stars to be seen trying to get around paying the extra on the final value

Can anyone think of anyway around this other than the buyer requesting an revised invoice with the 50p charge added?

Make the personalisation 99p.

OR use colour (no personalisation) and colour (with personalisation) in the colour drop-down

OR just do it "properly" with a colour drop down and then a personalisation drop-down (No personalisation / With personalisation).

I'd go option 1. 50p for any amount of work seems very low.

I thought the minimum price of a buy-it-now on ebay.co.uk was 99p?

I'd go for having an option with the price of personalisation included. If it's a separate option you can guarantee some buyers will buy and pay for it separately leaving you stung for two sets of paypal fees.
