Will I be accepted for a Santander 123 Current Account?

Does anyone know how strict the criteria is for being accepted for a Santander 123 current account? I'm thinking of opening one for the cashback and credit interest, but I'm not sure if I'll be accepted.
I'm concerned because a few years ago I tried to switch my account to Nationwide but they would only give me a basic account. I had a bad credit history at the time, but my record is a lot better now. I haven't had any late/missed payments for over 2 years and have no CCJs.
Hope someone out there can advise me!

Matter of trying, I suppose. Nobody here can tell you for sure. If you haven't already done so, you might want to just double-check that your credit file is in decent shape before you apply.
Not sure who Santander use, but Experian would be a good start. Note, you are not looking at what your credit score is - - you want to check that your name/address is correct, you are listed as being on the Electoral Register, and you don't have any late payments showing in recent years.
AFAIK, Santander are not as picky as some other banks/BSs. May be one of the Santander employees posting here can provide further info.0 -
Thanks, innovate. I'll send off for the £2 statutory credit report and check it looks ok before I apply. Fingers crossed!0
