Lloyds tsb PPI insurance

In June 08 I took out a lloyds tsb credit card while working full time. I was a full time student as of october 08 and I made my monthly payments on time. Then I fell pregnant and in June 09 I missed a payment due to having no money. I was no longer receiving student loans and was summer break, I could not find a job as I was 7 months pregnant. I lived alone and could not claim any benefits as I was a student and did not yet have a child. I rang the bank and explained but they said there is nothing they can do. I continued not to pay for 2 more months. After not paying my monthly payments for three months I received a letter staying my PPI had been cancelled as I had not paid for three months. I didn't even know I had PPI.
Thanks to the charges etc i received I kept falling behind.
Would I have been able to use my PPI to cover the payments for those three months had I have known I had it?
Many thanks

No, they wouldn;t have covered you. They would only have covere you if you were in full time employment, as you were when you took the card out.
When your circumstances changed, you should have cancelled it, or cancelled it straightaway.
If your job gave you good sick benefits then complain [unless you bought online or by post in which case you more than likely missbought unless the boxes were pre-ticked online]Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0
